Examination

The PECB ISO/IEC 27701 Foundation examination complies with the requirements of the PECB Examination and Certification Program (ECP) and evaluates candidates on the fundamental principles of Privacy Information Management Systems.

The examination covers the following competency domains:

• Domain 1: Fundamental principles and concepts of a Privacy Information Management System (PIMS)

• Domain 2: Privacy Information Management System (PIMS)

Candidates who do not pass the examination on their first attempt may retake the exam once within 12 months at no additional cost, subject to the PECB retake policy.

Certification

After successfully passing the examination, candidates may apply for the following credential.

The PECB Certificate Holder in ISO/IEC 27701 Foundation credential demonstrates that you understand the fundamental principles of Privacy Information Management Systems and the requirements of the ISO/IEC 27701 standard.
